Cork grease is like $2 and a swab shouldn't be more than $5 unless you buy something really fancy, but just a cloth would work fine. I've never used cork grease for my saxophone though, it shouldn't really be necessary unless your mouthpiece or neck are hard to take off.

my discharge smells like fart. i take showers everyday and clean myself good down there. it does not burn when i pee , nor does it itch or red down there. i visited the doctor and she took a swab of my discharge and said it was fine. its really embarrassing and gross and it starts to smell like 20 min after a shower. does anyone know what this is and how i can treat it?

What's wrong with my Team Fortress 2?

I just downloaded a game from Steam called Team Fortress 2 because it was just announced free. I waited for 13 hours and finally the download was complete. Then the community toolbar thing popped up. (I use a mac) The game worked fine for the most part, then the game froze. I then restarted my mac and tried the game again. Again the community toolbar thing popped up before I launched the game. The screen turned black and the cursor went into that rainbow wheel of death and I waited for 10 minutes and nothing happened. I restarted my computer AGAIN and i tried to launch Team Fortress 2 again and still nothing happened. I'm not sure if the community toolbar thingy is affecting the game or something else is. Please help?

Accuracy of urine testing for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea?

I was tested for these two via urine tests a few years back, and it came back negative. Although someone had said i gave them these stds prior to testing. My question is how accurate are the urine tests? And are the swabs more accurate? AND say, if i DID have these stds but had gotten them two years before i got tested, would that affect the accuracy? Please help me. This thought has been haunting me for 2 years now. By the way, since testing i have been with the same man.

We bought a rainbow play center from Costco two summers ago, and from day one my youngest child would go out and play for the day and get cut on his arm or leg at least once a week. My husband was playing wiht the boys and reached through the playhouse between two boards and cut his arm up AWFUL!!! There are two staples/nails sticking from the inside OUT of a board on the treehouse portion. This is extermely upsetting. WE looked again and there are three boards like this. We paid $1300 for this set from Costco, can we return it? Or do they not honor that after two years? A replacement would be fine with us, this set makes us very weary, like maybe defective...so what will costco do for us?

Tmi alert. So lately I've been having some discomfort down below. I've noticed some discharge since probably the past month. There is my vaginal scent...but nt sure if its a bad scent. Sometimes there is a scent and other times there is not. I've also had a bit off itchiness around the top of the slit of my vagina, but it only happens reallt at night when I've beem workong amd sweatng down there all day. I feel like its more of an itch that would go away with a shower, but as it os so late I am waiting til morning to get one. False positive oral drug test causes?

Because my son stole vodka and is deemed to have a drug problem, I am now court ordered to random drug screening. My first test came back positive for cocaine. I do not use cocaine or any other illegal, prescription or over the counter drug. In my research I found that someone with kidney disease can test positive for cocaine and I have 6 of the 10 symptoms listed, however, the site implies that this false positive only occurs in urine tests and my test was an oral swab. Can anyone tell me WITH CERTAINTY that this can happen with an oral test as well? I already know the causes for false positives are diabetes, liver disease, kidney disease, kidney infection, amoxicillin (sp), and tonic water so please only comment if you can give me evidence that a false positive can occur in the oral test for whatever reason. Thank you!

Mono, it lasts forever, lots of achy tired feelings and a sore throat. Strep lasts a week or so usually, so for length of time and symptoms mono is the worst. Good luck hope you feel better soon!

I dont know why this old game is lagging on my brand new computer. Its been lagging for half a year now. [When I play on multiplayer eso online it lags terribly every 5 mins and then stop for 5 mins and goes back to the pattern of lagging] I never appear on the dropping screen, so it shouldn't be my connection. Besides I never drop out, but it just lags like this every game and people are annoyed by it, even Im annoyed by it. Kitten in space--Should I be worried?

My husband Gary passed away on June 4, 2011. We have been married for 28 years in Aug but I have been with Gary for 30 years. We have 2 children and 5 grandchildren . He was only 50 years old I have found that I really miss him and just want someone to hold me, he was sick for little bit then I brought him home from a hospital out of state and was doing good for about a week and then he went down hill I had him home for 15 days when he passed. We had a home heath nurse coming out everyday to change the dressing on his tailbone that he got from the hospital almost 1 year ago and it had MERSA in it before he was transferred out of state to a so called better hospital the MERSA was gone but when we got home the nursing company that was coming out to help him took swab samples and sent them to a lab and the test came back with MERSA but not one from the USA it is from IRAN or someplace over there. I am sure that is was killed him and I am having a very hard time with it. If he didn't have the open sore on the tailbone in the first place he would still be with me and are kids 2 days before he died we found out that we are going to be grandparents again for the 6th time and that is really great. My question is this is it wrong for me to want someone to hold me? I don't know if I will ever be able to stop grieving my sole mate.

Record says this had happened three other times but she only lost her memory of a few days prior, but this time, she lost three years worth of memory, which is when her music career began. I worried that these could lead to Grand Mal Seizures and that she could lose her life because her boyfriend is tight on money and can't afford a medical bill, and he family is not aware of this, as they live in Canada instead of the United States, where she is currently with her boyfriend. He said that when she first woke up she didn't know who he was and thought he kidnapped her and attempted to injure him and that she also didn't realize who she was. Are these early signs of possibly a tumor or cancer in the part of the brain that stores memory? I don't know if this is fake or not, but if it is, it's a fake and sick prank. So, is any of this a symptom of brain malfunction or a strange type of disease?

Cotton swab stuck in ear?

I was cleaning my ear with a cotton swab and the cotton didn't come out, I tried removing it with tweezers and it seems to have pushed it in even more and now it's not visible. I have 2 Rainbow Cichlids - 1 male and 1 female. They are in a 50 litre tank, and are on their own. I am trying to breed them, but it's getting really confusing. But other times the male chases the female around, when he tries to get close she swims away, and the females fins are starting to look like they are getting bitten. I had the best life here, the best guy from here liked me. I should have been in the rainbows happy, but its just the opposite and much worse. He loved me a lot and I guess he was the only person who genuinely loved me. But my friends are insecure people, and they made me feel insecure, they told their insecurities to me, and told me bad things about him, I think mostly they hallucinated. Recurring yeast infection/bacterial vaginosis ?

In November I was put on PO doxycycline for an infection not related to my vagina. It gave me a yeast infection that I attempted to treat with OTC fungicides. The symptoms subsided, but I could tell I still had a vag infection because of the pain during intercourse. I finally got insurance again through my new job in feburary or march and was able to go to the obgyn where they found both yeast and bacteria. I was given vaginal Metronidazole and PO Fluconazole. The symptoms subsided briefly, but came back. So back to the OBGYN I went where I was prescribed vaginal Miconazole. (I should note that all the while I had not been washing my vagina with scented anything and I was wearing cotton panties and I have great hygiene.) The Miconazole worked briefly again and the symptoms came back. This time the OBGYN sent out a swab for a culture. When she checked the wet prep she only noticed clue cells for BV and put me on vaginal Clindamycin. A few days later they found yeast on the culture and again gave me PO Fluconazole. On my last visit I was also perscribed Boric Acid vaginal suppositories which I have been inserting once a week to balance my vaginas pH. Now here I am on a weekend with symptoms and I would really like to know what other people have done about similar situations. Thanks!!

I got color out, and it just took the color out of my roots where the color started fading because my hair started growing. Whats wrong with my throat?

Well, I had a sore throat for the past few days, And like I been having these for like 6 times each year. My last cold was in September 2010, and its June 2011 now. But I went to an Emergency today. And my doctor was a short Asian (No offense to some people.) and he ended up feeling my throat and everything, checking inside my mouth. I told him everything. Yesterday, I wasn't feeling to good, I felt like I was having a bad cold and a fever at the same time with a migraine. So I wrote down all the things that happened to me and I showed the doctor. I told him, the day before, I was dizzy, I had the signs of both a cold and fever, and I had aching legs, the migraine that made me cry badly, the sore throat / mouth. and Runny / Stuffy nose, Etc. It was just horrible yesterday. Now today when I went to the clinic place he told me to open my mouth and say "Ah" So I did as I was told and he shoved this weird looking two Cotton swab thing shoved together looking thing in my mouth. It hurt my mouth so much. I started gagging and I felt like spitting up flem. So I told me to wait there and I did for 2 hours. I see him going for lunch break and everything. So finally I was about to walk out, and he comes around the corner saying I have to wait again. I complained that I was thirsty and hungry. So he said he wasn't finished with me yet. So finally he comes and says it was negative? Is that a good thing or bad thing cause I'm worried. And he gave me pills that look like they'd last for 2 weeks, and he said he wants to see me again before school starts. So like, should I go back or what? Like whats wrong with my throat? Is it normal. A nurse said I had red spots on the roof of my mouth too, And I was told my throat was red in the back. So I wonder if I should consult this with my family doctor or just leave it be. But ever since that cotton swab thing was in my throat its killing my throat more. And I should add that when I was walking today I felt dizzy, and I felt like puking, I wonder if I should see the same Doctor and tell him what happened to me after I left the hospital, I also had head aches. Well Hopefully you can answer this, but is it Normal or am I just being over-worried?

Definitely throat swab. It's cheaper, less painful, and usually they swab your throat and in 15 minutes or less they have the result. I don't even know if they do blood tests for mono. Also, if it's strep, a throat swab will tell you that too. They just look at the culture under a microscope to determine it. Either way, your doctor will probably prescribe you antibiotics or some other medication if you are leaving town.

I had my first job interview and need advice PLeASE HELP!?

I had my first interview and applied for two open positions. I got a call back 10 hours after I applied so I thought that was great. I went to my interview Wednesday 13th I got a wonderful sweet interviewer who said I did great and answered all questions perfectly. They also have everyone take a math test before the interview in-which she stated I did excellent on and did not miss any. Then as we were talking she started naming positions that were available that was not on the application choice in the HR department. She stated I needed to pick but it was hard as this was my first interview and all the positions were available and starting asap. So then she told me to hold on and went to speak with her supervisor. She came back and to me to apply for ESO in the HR department but it would require an additional test. I said okay and proceeded with the test in which I know I passed. I was there for two hours and no one else took this second test and no one else was there as long as I was. By the time I finished the test she had to leave and every one else left except the Supervisor and his assistant. I turned in my test and the assistant said someone will grade it and call me back but it is now Saturday and I am anxious to find out something. I have never have a job so I am unsure of the proper procedures and how long it takes to get a call back or if I should call. I tried reading other peoples questions that were similar to mines but everyone seems to have their own options of calling or not to call. I also wondering do I have a good chance because the interviewer suggested a different position which is more higher qualifying and better opportunity? Also if they decide not to choose me for any reason can I still choose the position I originally applied for without having to do everything all over again? I have read the other question(s) on the site, but mine is more specific. I am currently taking throat losenges to help with the pain that comes with swallowing (or, if I haven't taken a pain reliever, talking). The other question suggests that you can use a swab to take them out, but I want to treat the problem, not the side effects. I went to an urgent care center the first time we noticed it, and they charged me over $120 and prescribed a tosilitis antibiotic. It seemed to work, but the prescription was for 5 days, and it's been gone for a week now and the pain is back. No-one seems to be able to treat the problem. Is the only solution to get my tonsils removed? I have heard it takes a while to recover, which will not be fun seeing as I am in college now, so I can't afford to miss days. Also, I was told by my doctor that people cannot get their tonsils removed unless they are tested positive for Strep 4 time in one year. It seems like the only options to relieve my suffering are to stick things down my throat and pull out the stones or go around trying to get Strep. Help!

I need help finding a specific counted cross stitch ABC sampler.?

Many years ago, not sure exacty how many, I stitched an ABC Counted cross stitch Sampler for my friends son. They moved away shortly after and we lost touch with each other. I am going to try to describe as much as I have remebered about it. It is approx 15"w x 12"h. Stitched on 14 count White Aida cloth. There were 4 equal horizontal rows with varied sized "boxes" on each row and I think not the same amount on each. I don't remember what character represented each letter but I think I recall enough to hopefully be recognized by another avid and experienced stitcher or by the recipient of the Sampler. A = Airplane F = Fish O = Octopus R = Rabbit T = Train X = Zylophone W = Whale K = Kite... I have only listed the ones I was absolutley sure of. I think I know a few more but not sure. The only other distiguishing characteristic I can mention is the Picture were very bright and not at all realistic For Example: I think the airplane was bright yellow and the fish was rainbow colored.and maybe the xylophone as well. I am positive that the information I have given is MORE than enough for someone who has seen it. So I really wanted to pierce my ear a second time so I took a needle and rubbed it with alcohol and stroked it through fire. I put alcohol on an earring and let it sit. Your midwives do not acknowledge GBS?! That is very odd since it can cause complications for your newborn. I too am seeing midwives and not doctors (Birth Center) and they are testing me at my next visit (37 wks). You should be tested between 35 & 37. Since you had it with your prior pregnancy, they may just treat you for it regardless. You need to bring it up to them at your next visit. Good luck!

Strange irritation in my Vagina?

The last couple of months I've been experiencing a strange irritation in my vagina, it's hard to explain how it feels but the closest thing I can say it feels like is burning but it's always triggered by peeing in the morning, and my pee is slightly off colour as well but I drink plenty of water. I've been to the doctors about it and she did an exam, she did a high vaginal swab, a chlamydia test and a urine sample and they all came back normal! And sex is very uncomfortable too :( Any suggestions?

My first thought was I have herpes I went to the Urgent care clinic and the doctor told me I had an anal fissure and he noticed a yellowish discharge in my cervix durnig the pap along with a white discharge that he belived was Gonorrhea even though there was no scent. He also said I had bleeding in my cervix and it was extra sensitive in spots that I shouldnt have been.He took a culture of the sore on my vagina with a swab and also from my anal area. I gave a Urine sample and they took multiple Blood work to test me for every STD imaginable. He gave me a penicil shot befor I left and started me on a antibiotics for a Bacterial infection since I told him I always have UTI's or BV for some reason. And he belived that I did have some kind of Bacterial infection causing the white discharge. I was told to take Hot sitz baths for the anal fissure. After taking that Hot sitz Bath the next morning I woke up to small bumps in my anal area and also around those two sores in my vaginal area, I called the Urgent care clinic and a different Dr on duty assumed it was herpes and perscibed a cream and pills. Two days later all my Test came back I was negative for everything Herpes, Gonorrhea, pregnancy, You name it I Didnt have it. What I did have was Beta Hemolytic Streptococcus Group B. Here's the Gross part about it my cousin who just had her baby yesterday confessed to using my razor while she House sat for me and she had the EXACT same thing a month ago!!! He said the anti biotics should cure it but they dont seem to be working. Ive researched everything. Im following up with My OBGYN this Friday. Does anyone know what can provide some type of comfort until then, Soaps seem to set me on fire so showers have been painful as well as using the bathroom. All the Bumps have popped now I have these open sores that seem to be healing but I dont know??? Any advice, besides killing my gross cousin?

False positive/Indeterminate HIV status?

Today I went in for HIV and took an oral swab/Rapid test which gave me my results back in 20 minutes. The results came back preliminary positive. At which point they took two blood samples and ran two more test. Both of these tests came back negative. However they sent the second blood sample, along with another oral swab to the lab for testing to give me a definitive answer. I'm just wondering, how likely is it that my first result was just a false positive if two of my other tests (which were done on site) came back negative? Naturally, none of the volunteers at the clinic would say other than that my status was Indeterminate.

I think my water broke yesterday?

Okay so I asked yesterday if you guys thought it was my water or not. I also asked a couple of mom friends their opinions and everybody seem to think so, as did I. I went to L&D and they did a swab test basically and said it wasn't amniotic fluid and sent me on my way. It wasn't like a steady flow of liquid coming out, it was just a leak. Today I had to go to the gynecologist. For the past 3 years, I've been having a problem and just found out last year that it was something called cytolitic vaginitis (overgrowth of lactobacillus with a low (3.5 and under) pH). I dreaded the speculum because it REALLY hurts especially if the vagina is very acidic and when I refused it, he actually threw it into the sink and it freaked his nurse out a little bit. He then said, "Let's just do the swab", got a q-tip and just rolled it around which hurt like hell. I told him about this condition and he almost doubted that it exists. I wish I could go to this other gynecologist who was specifically a bacterial specialist and he knew everything that was going on with me, but unfortunately he developed cancer and he's dying. Bad burn in mouth/throat?

The other day i was smoking a handrolled cigarette. As it got to be very short it slipped through my fingers as i was hitting it and it flew into my throat. After about a minute of hacking and gagging i was able to get it out, but my mouth-flesh put it out. It burned me back where your mouth starts to turn into your throat, before the uvela. It didnt start hurting until the next day but its been three days of trying saltwater, orajel, ice, and cepacol, and it still hurts the same as the first day. Cotton bud stuck in my dog's ear.?

I was cleaning my dog's ears and a cotton bud got stuck in there, i cant see. My parents think im making a big deal and they wont take her to the vet, i dont have money, i dont drive, i feel very angry for not bein able to do much... Gun cleaning question?

I recently bought a Springfield xd9. I go shoot it just about every weekend and clean it after every time i shoot. I start off by running a patch with solvent on it through the barrel. Repeat. Then I use the bore brush and scrub it. I then run another patch with solvent through it and it comes out BLACK. I clean the brush and scrub again. Next patch is black. I repeat this at least 10 times and still, dirty patches. The bore looks smooth and clean and clear of debri but the patches stay black as long as I brush it. Do I really need to keep brushing/swabbing with patch back and forth until the patches come out clean, even if it takes 50 times? And am I doing something wrong here?

I really do not think that there is an indication that you are going deaf by any means, but that you are just sensitive to deep voices. You are also very fearful of the possibilityof going deaf and so you may pay attention and be more aware of sounds than most people pay attention to. Just to be safe have your hearing checked the next time you see your doctor. Very easy procedure. no worries, and be sure not to use Q-tips too often because there are little hairs in your ears that protect as well as there is meant to be a certain amount of wax to protect it as well. Be careful how far you stick it in too.

if many times the reasons she attacks is because there is something in her eye or in her paw that can be why. cats are very independent and like to clean themselves. if you get in the way of what your cat wants to do she may become aggressive. or if something in her eye is causing her pain she just may be lashing out due to that. also, if i were to only stroke my cat down her back or on her belly she will go after my hand either to play or just to say that's enough. cats don't think like us humans to know that you are only trying to help her remove things from her eye and foot. they only thing she was thinking at that point was there's something there and she had to get rid of it. the other thing if she randomly attacks your hand could be that you smell like another animal or just a smell your cat doesn't like. when your cat is being affectionate towards you rub her across the cheeks. that spreads her scent on you, the good scent that she likes to smell. they love being rubbed on their heads and cheeks and thats more enjoyable for them. also when you pick her up, make sure you hold her in a way that she doesn't feel helpless. if a cat doesn't feel comfortable, she will claw to try and get a grip so she doesn't feel like she will fall.

My Pug Is Sick Again With Crystals In Her Urinary Track?

I've had my (almost two year old female/spayed) pug now for since last August. She was fine until I went away for a week vacation (leaving her in her own home with my 20 year old son who loves her, plays with her, walks her, etc.....) and came back to find that a day or two later; she was not peeing; except maybe once a day. After day two I called the doctor and got her in on day 3. She started developing crystals in her urine track; not a good thing, but after pee tests and anti-biotics; she cleared up fine and started peeing again several times per day. Then about a month later, same thing, went to vet, crystals present, cleared up.............by the way, I also changed her diet as suggested and everything else they suggested to get her to pass he crystals........and she was o.k....now, same thing...........past several days she will pee o.k. then not pee most or all of the day...........there has got to be something that I can do long term to help her with this problem. I've spent around $650 in vet visits, tests, meds, etc........in the past few months..........now don't get me wrong.....she is worth every penny and more...........she is wonderful! I asked the vet if vet insurance would be a good idea.......I had a long talk with the assistant and she said "no" in the long run it would cost more.......o.k............well, between everything needed to keep a pug happy and healthy (wipes for wrinkles, ear cleaner/swabs, special diet, groomer (I don't cut her nails, they are dark and I am afraid to make a mistake).........special allergy shampoo, etc............she costs me more than the rest of my family............lol...........once again, not complaining, I did my homework........but.............she is sick way too often..............Any help would be appreciated.......If I lost her, I'd be devestated!

Black nail polish is not coming off?

I put black nail polish on my toes about 2 weeks ago and i went to take it off tonight with nail polish remover but when i tried to the nail polish wouldn't come off. Ive tried cotton swabs, Q-Tips, and a cloth with the nail polish remover. Still nothing. I decided to try to scratch it off but i just gave up because I wasn't really getting anywhere.
